The game features multiple levels, each introducing unique challenges. Players will encounter gaps in the metal pads that complicate efforts to dodge the fireballs, requiring strategic movement and timing.

As players progress through the levels, they have the opportunity to collect prize balls. These rewards can include extra lives and various items that enhance gameplay. Notably, the Shield prize provides Hoppy with temporary protection against fireballs by enveloping him in water; however, this shield dissipates upon contact with fire.
